Susa's
Ranch is located in Apache Junction, just east of Phoenix, on the west
edge of the Apache trail.
The surrounding desert, lakes & mountains make Apache Junction a
perfefct peacful getaway. Nearby Superstition Mountain offers great
hiking, biking and horseback riding. The unobstructed mountain view
offers tranquil sunsets and stars at night.
Just because we're in a valley doesn't mean there's no access to
water sports! Canyon Lake, only a half hour drive away, offers boating,
jet skiing and a small beach becon for those seeking "wet and wild" fun.
Golf courses are abundant throughout the valley. The LPGA hosts a major
yearly tournament at Superstition Mountain golfcourse, only 10 miles
east of Susa's Ranch.
Downtown Phoenix is the place to go if you are looking for adventure,
events or exciting nightlife. Professional sport teams abound-from the
Women's Basketball "Phoenix Mercury" to the championship Az.
Diamondbacks. Other entertainment includes theatre, comedy improv's
and a variety of bars to fit all lifestyles and tastes. There's something
for everyone in our southwest valley....a vacation experience you'll
not soon forget!

The in part unpaved drive takes you through Tonto National Forest.

Archaeological Park and Museum
Salado pueblo located in Globe, Arizona. Visitors are encouraged
to walk through the rooms and even climb ladders to the upper stories.

Thompson Arboretum State Park
The Southwest's oldest and most spectacular arboretum and botanical
garden. Located beneath Picketpost Mountain at Superior, Arizona.

Goldfield
Ghost Town
Authentic 1890's ghost town in Apache Junction. Goldfield provides
underground mine tours and a ride on a narrow gauge railroad. |

Tonto
National Monument/Tonto National Forest
Well-preserved cliff dwellings that were used by the Salado culture
from the 13th to the early 15th century. Hiking trails throughout the Superstition Mountains, accessed through Tonto Forest.

Dutchman State Park
Lost Dutchman State Park is considered the ideal starting point
for exploration of the surrounding Superstition Wilderness. |
Boating and Tourist Sites Canyon Lake, the first of three linked lakes offers water activities and The Dolly Steamboat guided tour. A few miles further you'll find Tortilla Flats, a popular tourist destination.
